Senator Josh Becker (D-Menlo Park) presented a $2 million “big check” to Palo Alto city officials on Saturday, November 19, representing the funds Becker was able to secure in the state budget to help pay for the replacement of the Newell Road Bridge. The project helps mitigate some ongoing risks from climate change and flooding in the city.
